The Dominican Republics’ premier culinary event is back again for its second year, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The country’s leading resort, the Casa de Campo Resort and Villas, is hosting the second edition of its Casa de Campo Food and Wine Festival from Oct. 10-12.

This year’s event will include headlining chef and TV personality Scott Conan, along with Chef Hubert Keller, James Beard Award winner Shawn McClain and a host of culinary stars.

“Our inaugural festival was an incredible hit last year, and we are elated to bring it back for a second time even bigger and better than before,” said Jason Kycek, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Casa de Campo Resort and Villas. “The Dominican Republic’s culinary scene has been long overlooked, and thanks to our incredible partners and sponsors, along with some of the nation’s hottest chefs from Invited, the second annual Casa de Campo Food & Wine Festival is guaranteed to shine a light on both regional and global culinary talent.”

This year’s event includes a Chef of the Year Cook Off, “glow golf” games and a two-day Grand Tasting Pavilion, an unrivaled Caribbean culinary extravaganza on site at the resort.

Attendees can enjoy food and wine pairings from top local and international chefs, along with enjoying the 7,000-acre resort’s vast number of amenities.

“This year’s attendees will be fully immersed with premier food and beverage experiences, top-notch tastings, never-before-seen demonstrations, and an infusion of Dominican cuisine, rums, and culinary artisans,” Kycek said.
