Dominican Republic Nears 6 Million Visitors as Tourism Keeps Surging

The Dominican Republic’s record-breaking tourism numbers seem to just be getting better.
The latest milestone? The country is nearing 6 million visitors in the first six months of 2024, another all-time high.
In June, the Dominican Republic reported 923,736 visitors, a 9 percent increase compared to last year’s outstanding total.

That was also 28 percent higher than in 2022.
More notably, the Dominican Republic welcomed just under 760,000 air arrivals, a 7 percent increase compared to 2023.
Dominican Republic Tourism Minister David Collado says he is predicting 11.4 million total visitors by the end of this year.
The country’s tourism is, in other words, “at its best moment,” Collado said.
