The Dominican Republic’s record-breaking tourism numbers seem to just be getting better.

The latest milestone? The country is nearing 6 million visitors in the first six months of 2024, another all-time high.

In June, the Dominican Republic reported 923,736 visitors, a 9 percent increase compared to last year’s outstanding total.

Dominican Republic Tourism Minister David Collado says he is predicting 11.4 million total visitors by the end of this year.

The country’s tourism is, in other words, “at its best moment,” Collado said.
