Curacao’s Newest All-Inclusive Resort Reinvents the Beach Bungalow

It's a new-age take on the beach bungalow resort.

Hyatt’s Dreams brand first debuted on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao back in 2019, a transformation of what had been the Hilton Curacao.

In many ways, Dreams’ debut helped change the game for the island, helping to kick off what has become a golden age for all-inclusive resorts in Curacao, which is now home to all-inclusive resorts from major brands across the travel industry, from Wyndham to Hilton to, most importantly, Sandals, which opened its first resort on the island back in 2022

The island’s all-inclusive boom has helped shepherd in all-time highs for visitor numbers, culminating with a record-breaking 2023.

Soon, the island will have another game-changing debut, and it’s one of the most striking designs in the region in recent memory.

The Dreams Curacao Resort is opening a new resort-within-a-resort with a unique design consisting of modular units right on the sand.

Each unit will have 377 square feet, with a design that’s a modern re-imagination of the beach bungalow, with king beds, large terraces and Preferred Club status.

The adults-only enclave, which opens June 1, will consist of 52 direct beachfront modular units accompanied by a new bar, a restaurant and a special infinity pool..

Better yet, if you’re staying in the adults-only space, you get full access to all of the amenities of the Dreams resort.

Hyatt has been at the forefront of the all-inclusive ecosystem in the Caribbean in the last few years, and it’s likely this design will send shockwaves throughout the industry — and have consumers flocking.

“The new offerings create a first-of-its-kind concept amidst one of the most coveted beaches in Curaçao,” says Thomas van Balveren, the resort’s GM, in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.
