More New Daily Nonstop Flights to Cancun

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 23, 2023

Another day, another new flight to Cancun, Mexico’s tourism superpower.

Cancun International Airport has seen passenger traffic of 27 million so far this year, a 9.1 percent increase over the same period last year – cementing its place as the busiest in the Caribbean Basin.

Now, Frontier Airlines, which has made no secret of its love affair with Cancun, just added another new route, with daily nonstop service between Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and Cancun.

“Just as temperatures start to plummet in the upper Midwest, Frontier Airlines is excited to offer daily service to some of the most popular sunny destinations,” said Josh Flyr, Vice President of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines. ““Our continued growth at MSP is allowing Frontier the ability to offer more Minnesotans greater access to our ‘Low Fares Done Right.’”

Even better? Frontier has launched an introductory fare of $89, the company said.
