Caribbean Moment: A Walk on the Beach in The Bahamas

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 20, 2023 - 1:10 pm

It’s still one of the great secrets of The Bahamas: the tiny island of San Salvador.

This tropical getaway, most famous as the site of Columbus’ first landing in the New World, is almost impossibly pristine, home to some of the best snorkeling and diving on earth.

And it’s also filled with untouched, uncrowded white-sand beaches perfect for untimed sandy strolls.

That includes the lovely Riding Rock point, right near the Riding Rock and Sands hotels, the island’s two top boutique hotels.

So take your shoes off and go for a little walk on the beach in San Salvador in the latest Caribbean Moment.
