Playa Officially Opens New Dominican Republic Resort 

Playa Hotels and Resorts has officially opened its new Jewel Palm Beach resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. 

The all-inclusive resort is the result of a rebranding of the former Dreams Palm Beach in Punta Cana, and the second Jewel-branded resort in the Dominican Republic. 

The resort has 500 suites and 15 different food and beverage concepts a beachfront setting in the Bavaro area of Punta Cana. 

Playa opened its first-ever Jewel in the Dominican Republic, the new Jewel Punta Cana, at the end of last year. 

Playa has not announced the reason for the rebrandings.

The family-friendly Jewel Palm Beach has launched with some of the country’s lowest all-inclusive rates, with a Grand Opening promotion that is as low as $105 per person, per night all-inclusive. 

Both are the first Jewel resorts outside of the brand’s birthplace in Jamaica.
