Spirit Airlines Is Adding More Nonstop Flights to Aruba

Spirit Airlines is adding more flights to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba early next year, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The low-cost carrier is adding a second nonstop flight between Fort Lauderdale and Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport starting Feb. 8, 2023.

That will mean a total of two weekly flights between Fort Lauderdale and Aruba, with service operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The airport has seen strong growth amid Aruba’s tourism recovery, with the airport’s most recent report showing traffic volume ahead of the same period in 2019, before the onset of the pandemic.
