Spirit Airlines Relaunching Nicaragua Flights

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 26, 2022

Spirit Airlines is relaunching its daily route between Fort Lauderdale and Managua, Nicaragua.

The daily nonstop service will begin operating on Nov. 30, with connections to 26 cities across Spirit’s network.

It’s a gateway to destinations like Managua, the charming colonial town of Granada, the spectacular Pacific coast and the still-under-the-radar Caribbean coast of the country.

“We’re eager to welcome back our Nicaraguan Guests and excited to make travel to and from Managua accessible for families, friends, and visitors again,” said Camilo Martelo, Director of International Stations. “We have a 15-year history serving Nicaragua and are proud to give South Florida and Managua back the affordable fares and signature service they’ve come to know when traveling between our countries.”

Spirit now flies to 29 destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Panama in Central America.
