Belize Just Waived Testing for Vaccinated Travelers

By: Alexander Britell - March 9, 2022

It’s easier than ever to visit Belize.

The Caribbean destination has officially waived testing requirements for fully vaccinated travelers.

For those who cannot show proof of vaccination or are unvaccinated, Belize still requires proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival or an antigen test taken within 48 hours before arrival. (Such travelers who do not present a test must take a test at the airport).

Children five and older who are not vaccinated must show proof of a negative test.  Children under five are exempt from testing requirements.

All international visitors must still purchase Belize Travel Health Insurance and fill out immigration forms provided on flights to Belize.

All international visitors must stay at a hotel approved by the Belize Tourism Board (you can find the list here).

Belize is the latest Caribbean destination to waive pre-testing requirements for vaccinated travelers, following the high-profile decision last year by St Maarten to waive testing
