Saint Lucia Just Set a New Record for American Visitors
Saint Lucia just set a new record for American visitors in July, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The Eastern Caribbean island welcomed 22,028 arrivals in July, an all-time record for visitor arrivals from the United States in July.
That represented a increase of 16 visitors over the same period in 2019, before the onset of the pandemic.

“The remainder of the summer is projecting nicely,” the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority said in a statement.
The surge in US arrivals mirrored the wider Caribbean trend, where many destinations saw all-time summer records amid a boom in summer travel.
The July numbers included a strong improvement from the United Kingdom, which accounted for 10 percent of overall arrivals for the same period.
