Air Canada Adding More Flights to Punta Cana and Cancun

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 1, 2021 - 9:19 pm

Air Canada is adding more flights to the Caribbean’s two most popular destinations: Punta Cana and Cancun.

Beginning Dec. 5, the carrier will operate two weekly flights between Quebec City and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

That’s along with twice-weekly service from Quebec City to Cancun, Mexico beginning Dec. 4.

“Punta Cana and Cancun are among the most popular tropical destinations, and we are happy to be able to bring back these connections,” said Mark Galardo, Senior Vice President, Network Planning and Revenue Management at Air Canada. “These routes will not only provide more diverse flight options for Quebec City residents but will also strengthen our foothold in a growing market and better serve the Jean Lesage International Airport, our long–time partner.”

Air Canada will be operating both routes on Airbus A319 Rouge aircraft with capacity for 136 passengers.
