Turks and Caicos is getting another new air route this winter, with the planned launch of new service on Sun Country Airlines, Caribbean Journal has learned.

On Dec. 18, Sun Country will launch its first-ever flights to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, with a new route from Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport.

The new flights will operate once weekly on Saturdays, according to the company.

It is great to see Sun Country Airlines continuing to grow at MSP International Airport, taking people to the places they want to go,” said Metropolitan Airports Commission CEO Brian Ryks. “Sun Country is the first airline to offer scheduled service from MSP to four of these five destinations. All five new routes will offer fantastic getaway experiences when the weather turns cold again next winter.”
