Dreams Continuing All-Inclusive Expansion in Punta Cana

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 20, 2020

The highly-anticipated new Dreams resort in Punta Cana is set to make its debut next month, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The new Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana is set on a crescent of beach northwest of Punta Cana, past Bavaro but just before fast-growing Uvero Alto.

The newest Dreams resort in the Caribbean is a 500-suite property with Dreams’ signature Spa by Pevonia, a water park and a lazy river, among other amenities.

The property, which is targeting both families and couples, will have a total of nine dining concepts, including a buffet, a coffee shop, a beachfront grill and six a la carte eateries, according to AMResorts.

Suites at the new Dreams will range from “tropical view” junior suites to the signature places to stay at the resort, the Preferred Club two-bedroom swim-out villas.

It will be the fourth Dreams-branded resort in the Dominican Republic.

AMResorts has made no secret of its positive outlook in the Dominican Republic, where it continues to partner on new resorts with rapidity.

It’s yet another expansion of AMResorts’ Dreams brand, which has been steadily growing its presence in the wider Caribbean-Mexico region in the past year.

That includes the new Dreams Curacao, which made its debut in the Dutch Caribbean in mid-December with a 197-room property at the former Hilton Curacao.

And Dreams also opened the new Dreams Acapculco Resort and Spa in Mexico’s iconic resort destination at the end of December.

AMResorts will also soon be opening the new Dreams Vista Cancun, which recently pushed back its opening date to April 1 (it had been slated to open this month).

The imminent debut of the Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana comes as AMResorts just announced plans to open a major new all-inclusive destination in the unheralded area of Miches, which the company plans to place under the umbrella of greater Punta Cana.
