Puerto Morelos, Mexico Is Getting a New Beach Hotel

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 1, 2020

A hip new hotel is coming to the up-and-coming Caribbean beach town of Puerto Morelos in Mexico.

The Fives Hotels and Residences is expanding in the Mexican Caribbean with a new hotel called The Fives Oceanfront Puerto Morelos.

“Our expansion is a symbol of our prospering resort portfolio and commitment to enhancing our unique All-Senses Inclusive concept,” said Joaquin Serna, CEO of TM Real Estate Group, parent company of The Fives Hotels & Residences.

The property, which will be opening this year, will consist of 115 suites on the beach in Puerto Morelos, with a mix of one, two- and three-bedroom residences.

It will join the brand’s two other existing hotels in Mexico: The Fives Downtown and the Fives Beach, which are both set in the bustling beach town of Playa del Carmen.

“We are thrilled to celebrate 10 successful years in Mexico as we evolve into independent hotel operators. My dedicated team continues to deliver unparalleled experiences that have transformed traditional vacations,” Serna said.

It will join an increasingly competitive hotel market in Puerto Morelos, long led by the celebrated Grand Residences Riviera Cancun.
