One of the Caribbean’s fastest-growing cruise destinations has added a major new cruise pier.

St Kitts has debuted its new $48 million cruise pier at Port Zante in Basseterre.

The new pier means Port Zante can now host up to three of the world’s largest cruise ships.

It comes as St Kitts reported 1 million cruise passengers before the conclusion of the cruise sesason for two consecutive years.

The pier was funded in part by revenue from the country’s Citizenship by Investment Program, according to CS Global.

It’s a major milestone for St Kitts, which has long punched far above its weight in the highly-competitive cruise sector in the Caribbean.
