Mexico’s The Fives Hotels and Resorts brand has named a new vice president of hotel operations, a spokesperson for the property told Caribbean Journal.

The property has tapped Renaus Pfeifer to the role, in which he will work on hotel operations, service improvements and the development of the hotel’s new “All Senses” all-inclusive concept.

“Renaud is a seasoned hotelier with a strong background in hotel operations,” said Alejandro Zarfino, chief executive officer of The Fives Hotels & Residences. “I am confident his hospitality industry experience and knowledge will make him successful in this new role.”

Pfeifer’s career has included stints at Le Meridien, Karisma and Melia hotels, among others.

The Fives has a portfolio of three residential-style all-inclusive hotels on the Caribbean coast of Mexico: The Fives Downtown and The Fives Beach in Playa del Carmen, along with The Fives Oceanfront in Puerto Morelos.
