Royal Caribbean is bringing a significant new cruise ship to the Caribbean next year.

The company’s 27th ship, the new “Quantum Ultra”-class Odyssey of the Seas, will make its debut in Fort Lauderdale in November 2020.

The massive new ship will be sailing six and eight-night Caribbean cruises out of its Fort Lauderdale homeport of Port Everglades.

It will be the first-ever Quantum Ultra ship to call on Aruba and Curacao, part of a wider Caribbean network that will include stops in Grand Cayman, Cozumel and The Bahamas, among others.

The new ship will have Royal Caribbean’s newest amenities, including a sky-diving adventure, a 300-foot-high glass observation capsule and a large “active space” called SeaPlex that will feature a full-size basketball court, a roller-skating rink, bumper cars and even a trapeze school.
