Travel demand for The Bahamas is booming so far in 2019, according to a new report from Expedia Group.

The Bahamas saw a 43 percent growth in travel demand in the first quarter of 2019, compared to the first three months of 2018.

That included an average booking window of 37 days, and an average stay of three days, according to the company.

And that demand was largely for properties of four stars or above, according to the company, with around 59 percent of demand for that category.

The growth was part of a wider 25 percent increase in demand for the Caribbean region at large.

It’s yet another strong sign for The Bahamas, which has been having a banner year so far in terms of international stayover arrivals.
