Allegiant Launches Three New Puerto Rico Routes

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 20, 2018

By the Caribbean Journal staff

Fast-growing low-cost carrier Allegiant has launched three new nonstop routes to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The new services are operating from Cincinnati, Raleigh-Durham and Pittsburgh.

“The launch of these new routes allows Puerto Rico, ahead of the high season, to enjoy an increase in air capacity,” said Carla Campos, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. “The alliance we have established with Allegiant to support these new routes also includes a strategy to generate demand in these markets.”

The Raleigh-Durham-San Juan flights operate twice weekly, while both the Cincinnati and Pittsburgh flights are operating once a week.

“We are more than satisfied to expand our operations to beautiful Puerto Rico,” said Drew Wells, vice president of planning and revenue at Allegiant.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant has a fleet of 80 jets and operates more than 300 flights across the United States.
