New All-Inclusive Bungalows Coming to the Dominican Republic
By the Caribbean Journal staff
It’s a whole new way to go all-inclusive in the Caribbean’s most popular destination.
Viva Wyndham is expanding its all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic destination of Samana.
The adults-only Viva Wyndham V Samana is planning to debut a expansion that includes 34 new-construction, thached-roof bungalows.
The new units, which are set on ground level, will include their own plunge pools, bathrooms with rain showers, upgraded mini bars and 24-hour room service and free Wi-Fi.
They’re a crisp, beautifully designed addition that effectively amounts to a resort-within-a-resort — and a whole new style of all-inclusive getaway in the DR.
The bungalows will be located steps away from the Viva Wyndham’s Coconut Whispers spa; all guests in the bungalows will receive complimentary foot massages at the spa, along with added perks like cocktail and cooking classes, beach waiter service and a welcome cocktail event.
They are slated to make their debut in January 2019, according to a statement from the property.
It’s a welcome addition to Samana (one of the growing sub-destinations in the Dominican Republic), and a departure from the traditional megaresort all-inclusive model so typical of the country.
The Viva Wyndham V is located in the beach town of Las Terrenas in Samana.
Viva Wyndham has eight all-inclusive properties across its portfolio in the Caribbean and Mexico.
