Sandals Resorts International has begun the major transformation of its Sandals Cap Estate golf and country club in Saint Lucia.

The project will see golf legend and course designer Greg Norman transform the course into a world-class 18-hole championship course.

The work will be executed in two phases, with nine holes in each phase.

Each nine-hole component will be open while the other is under construction.

“What we are trying to do is to ensure our guests and golf club members always have access to the facility. So, while they will not always be able to play all 18-holes, they will always be able to play and access the facilities for the variety of other reasons that they do,” said Simone Skinner, general manager of the the club.

Sandals acquired the course in 2017.
