Club Med has expanded its Cancun all-inclusive, the company announced.

The company has added 60 new oceanfront rooms to the Aguamarina family-friendly wing at its Club Med Cancun Yucatan resort.

The expansion includes 30 club rooms and 30 deluxe rooms, lifting the total number of rooms at Aguamarina to 120.

The section also includes a new dedicated reception area and concierge service.

The reimagined area also includes a new pool just for families, along with a new family bar with its own kids’ corner called La Marina.

“As Club Med continues to stay on the pulse point of consumer trends and the changing demands of families, we’re thrilled to unveil the Aguamarina expansion, which has adopted unique elements specifically with families in mind,” said Xavier Mufraggi, CEO of Club Med North America.  “As the original resort to open on Cancún’s most pristine stretch of beach at the tip of the iconic Riviera Maya, the Aguamarina family oasis is yet another way the property sets itself apart from the rest.”

The expansion comes after the entire Club Med Canucn Yucatan underwent a full resort enhancement at the end of last year that included a full renovation of all of its rooms, new wellness experiences and new dining concepts.
