Marriott International has confirmed the planned reopening of Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico.

The luxe retreat plans to reopen officially in October, according to the company, after having shuttered in the wake of Hurricane Maria last year.

The return will come after several upgrade projects, including a full modernization of the Su Casa five-bedroom villa; a reimagined restaurant concept and a new Omakase and Ceviche bar, among other changes.

The Spa Botanico will also be “fully revitalized” with a new locally-inspired treatment menu and a new spa cuisine concept.

“October 2018 marks an exciting next chapter in the legendary history of our Reserve,” said George Sotelo, general manager at Dorado Beach. “. “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Dorado Beach as well as introducing the Reserve to a whole new set of guests experiencing the property for the first time.”
