A New Caribbean Concert Destination

There’s a new concert destination in the Caribbean: Puerto Plata.

One of the Dominican Republic’s tourism hubs, the destination is now home to the beautiful new Puerto Plata Amphitheatre, which has kicked off its first-ever concert series.

“Puerto Plata Is appiness” will features shows from renowned merengue, salsa and urban artists at the Amphitheatre, which has a capacity of 4,000 people.

The first show kicked off this week with performances by Fernando Villalona, Johnny Ventura, Wilfrido Vargas, Elvis Martínez, Sergio Vargas, Chiquito Team Band and Vakero.

And if you’re heading to Puerto Plata, there’s one place to stay above all: the lovely Casa Colonial boutique hotel.
