InselAir Cuts Pair of Caribbean Routes

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 7, 2017 - 12:06 pm

Dutch Caribbean carrier InselAir has announced a pair of flight cuts, citing a desire to “increase the reliability” of its network.

The Curacao-based airline has taken out its flight to both Barranquilla, Colombia and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Insel also announced it would be operating its Aruba-Santo Domingo-St. Maarten route once a week, down from twice per week.

The changes have been implemented this week.

“We regret the fact that we have to disappoint our passengers, but we will make sure that this will be handled in an orderly fashion’, said InselAir CEO Gilles Filiatreault. ‘We are taking decisions to quickly optimize our performance and to provide our passengers and employees what they deserve; a reliable airline.”
