Westin Dawn Beach St. Maarten Gets Marriott Affiliation

By: Alexander Britell - January 22, 2017 - 9:59 pm

The Westin Dawn Beach St. Maarten now has the perks of a Marriott resort.

The St. Maarten beach resort is now part of the Marriott International family, following last year’s Marriott-Starwood merger.

That means Marriott Rewards Members can now transfer their Marriott points to an existing or newly opened Starwood Preferred Guest membership and redeem them at the hotel, which is now the first Marriott-affiliated property in St. Maarten.

The resort joins 10 other Caribbean islands with Marriott hotels and resorts, including St. Kitts, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Cayman, Curacao and the Bahamas, along with resorts in the Mexican Caribbean.

“We are looking forward to all Marriott Rewards members having access to our beautiful resort,” said Sabrina Lawrence, reservations manager for the resort.

The 341-room property is located on the Dutch side of the island.
