JetBlue’s Traffic Keeps Growing Fast

JetBlue Airways, the fastest-growing carrier in the Caribbean region, is continuing to show strong traffic growth.

The New York City-based airline’s recent data showed 3.953 billion revenue passenger miles in June, an 11.6 percent increase from June 2015, on a capacity increase of 10.5 percent.

Load factor in June was 86.2 percent, a 0.9-percentage-point increase from June 2015.

The carrier reported 28,686 departures across its whole network.

JetBlue has been expanding rapidly in the Caribbean out of the Northeast and South Florida, with new routes and destinations, most recently a new flight from Newark to Barbados.
