A Guy Fieri Barbecue Is Coming to This Caribbean Cruise Ship

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 16, 2016

Guy Fieri is expanding his cruise ship offerings.

Fieri, who has lent his name to a number of Guy’s Burger Joints on Carnival Cruise Line ships, is now expanding his cruise ship offerings with a new barbecue.

Carnival Magic is the new home of Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse, located on the ship’s Lanai on Promenade Deck.

“Guy has been a wonderful partner and we can’t wait for our guests to enjoy all the incredible offerings at his Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse which we’re sure will be a huge hit with Carnival Magic guests,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

The eatery will include everything from “Blue Ribbon Chicken” to sliced smoked round of beef, all cooked on a traditional wood smoker recently installed on the ship.

Offerings will also include side dishes like mac n’ cheese, potato salad and collard greens, among others.

“Everyone knows that it takes the finest meats cooked ‘low and slow’ to create truly righteous mouth-watering barbecue,” Fieri said in a statement. “My new ‘Pig & Anchor’ eatery on Carnival Magic is gonna be off the hook! Be sure to grab lots of napkins — it’s gonna get messy!”

The restaurant will be free of charge.

Beginning in April, the ship will be repositioning to Port Canaveral to offer round-trip seven-day cruises in the Western Caribbean.
