The Bahamas’ Staniel Cay Airport has reopened.

The airport reopened to air traffic Nov. 18 with a new runway.

The newly-paved 3,000-foot-long, 75-foot-wide runway means the airport is classified as a Code 2b airport.

The airport will be open from sunrise to 3PM every day.

The airport had closed in April 2015 after safety concerns came to light “during a routine runway inspection,” the Department of Civil Aviation said.
