Small Luxury Hotels of the World has named a new CEO.

The brand has named Filip Boyen as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Boyen had been appointed as managing director of SLH’s management company, Hill, Goodridge & Associates, in July.

He most recently served as COO and senior vice president at Belmond.

“Filip’s depth of experience, not only of managing a large number of hotels over four continents but also of every aspect of the luxury hotel industry, means that he is well placed to guide SLH through the opportunities and challenges in this ever more competitive landscape,” said Anchalika Kijkanakorn, Chairperson of the SLH board. “We look forward to the continued success and evolution of the SLH brand under his stewardship as we look to the next 25 years and beyond.”

SLH has more than 520 hotels in 80 countries, including 18 hotels in the Caribbean.
