St Kitts’ development boom continued this weekend with the groundbreaking of the new Prime Hotel and Condominiums project.

The estimated $70 million project is approved under the twin-island federation’s Citizenship by Investment programme.

It is located on seven acres of land purchased from SL Horsford and Co Limited, according to the government.

The project will include between 70 to 100 hotel rooms across nine buildings, with restaurants, conference space, a rooftop patio and a pool, among other facilities.

“We see approximately 150 direct jobs during construction, and again we are seeing approximately 100 direct jobs during operation as well as various economic spinoff,” said Farron Lawrence of SKN Homes.
