New Executive Chef at Puerto Rico’s El Conquistador Resort

Puerto Rico’s El Conquistador Resort and Las Casitas Village, a Waldorf Astoria resort has named Ernie Reyes its new executive chef.

The move represents a promotion for Reyes, who had been serving as executive sous chef at El Conquistador for the last seven months.

“Chef Reyes promotion is well deserved and we are thrilled to widen his breadth of culinary influence,” said Dermot Connolly, managing director at the resort. “We are confident his impressive level of talent and experience will heighten the culinary experience for our guests at our resorts’ diverse dining offerings.”

Prior to joining El Conquistador, Reyes had served as executive chef at the San Juan Marriott and the Gran Melia Golf Resort Puerto Rico, among other posts.

El Conquistador and the La Casitas Village include 23 different restaurants, bars and lounges.
