Delta Airlines is ramping up its service to Costa Rica, the carrier announced.

The company will be resuming service between Los Angeles and Costa Rica, along with service between Costa Rica and the airline’s hubs in Minneapolis and New York.

That includes the reinstatement of service between San Jose and Minneapolis/St Paul.

The flights include service between Los Angeles and Costa Rica’s Liberia airport on Fridays with return flights on Saturdays; Saturday service between Minneapolis and Liberia; Saturday service between New York and Liberia; and Saturday service between Minneapolis and San Jose, Costa Rica.

Delta will be operating 40 weekly services during the peak season across Liberia and San Jose.

The expansion is part of what seems to be a wider push in the Caribbean Basin for the Atlanta-based carrier.
