A new planned port project in the area of Sauteurs is “very much on stream,” the government said this week.

Drawings have already been completed on the multimillion-dollar project and financing is being secured, according to Minister of Implementation Kenny Lalsingh.

“We are working on the Port project for Sauteurs,” Lalsingh said. “I was speaking to the developers and questioning them about what is happening. They have completed the drawings and are working on securing the funding.”

Lalsingh said the project “means a lot not just to St Patrick but to Grenada.”

Sauteurs is located on the northern tip of the island of Grenada.

The Minister was speaking during a St Patrick West Constituency Forum in Sauteurs.
