St Lucia Prime Minister to Make Official Visit to Martinique

St Lucia Prime Minister Dr Kenny Anthony will be making an official visit to neighbouring Martinique next week.

Anthony will be on the island on June 2 and 3, during which time the two islands will sign a cooperation agreement.

The agreement, which was announced in a statement from the office of Martinique Regional Council President Serge Letchimy, will cover six major themes: arts and cultural industries, trade facilitation, tourism development, green energy, health cooperation and climate change.

The St Lucian delegation, which will include regional representatives, will visit local businesses and institutions in Martinique. Anthony will also be meeting with Letchimy.

Letchimy’s office said more information on the visit was forthcoming.
