Rum Journal: Pusser’s, Don Q, El Dorado Among RumXP Winners

It was another solid class at this year’s Miami Rum Festival, which released the winners of its RumXP tasting competition on Wednesday.

The competition featured three days of blind tasting trials across 17 categories of rums comprising 113 varieties.

Leading the way were a number of Caribbean rums, along with some upstart American rums, including the excellent Lost Spirits Navy Style Rum, which took home best in class for the Dark Rum category.

The British Virgin Islands’ Pusser’s 15 took home Best in Class for the Aged Rum, 13-18 years category, while Guyana’s El Dorado 21 took home the Best in Class for the aged rum 19-21 years category.
