Caribbean Plate: New Executive Chef at Gansevoort Turks and Caicos

The Gansevoort Turks and Caicos hotel has named Mahdi Eghnam its new executive chef.

Eghnam will be part of a new culinary team, along with food and beverage director Carlos Echaiz.

The two will oversee the property’s signature restaurant, Stelle, along with the Beach Bar + Grill.

“I am so thrilled and excited for the opportunity to lead the culinary team at Gansevoort Turks + Caicos and look forward to maintaining a level of culinary excellence at the resort for years to come,” Eghnam said.

The new executive chef has previously served at properties including the Residence Phou Vao by Orient Express in Southeast Asia and the Four Seasons Riyadh, among other stops.

The 91-room Gansevoort is located on the western end of Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales.
