Golfer Jessica Korda took home the trophy on Sunday in the second-ever LPGA event hosted in the Bahamas.

The Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic was hosted at the Ocean Club course on Paradise Island.

Korda’s putt on the 18th hole helped her to defeat Stacy Lewis by one stroke at the tournament, which officially opened the LPGA season for 2014.

“It’s unbelievable,” Korda said. “I don’t know, maybe I pay attention more to detail, and I’m more relaxed out here.  I don’t know, but whatever it is I need to figure it out and do it more often.”

Last year’s inaugural Bahamas LPGA Classic was impacted by rain, which forced the tournament to switch from an 18-hole to a 12-hold format.

That was not the case this year, when weather conditions were excellent.

Ilhee Lee won the inaugural tournament last year.

Bahamian native Georgette Rolle competed in the event, although she missed the cut after two rounds.
