The Holiday Inn Resort Aruba is entering the final phase of its $20 million refurbishment programme.

The project, which included a new pool and jacuzzi, a new lobby and full-scale remodeling of guestrooms, is slated for completion in the middle of next month.

“[InterContinental Hotels Group] has truly stepped up to the plate in remaking the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba into a stylish, sophisticated property that aligns perfectly with Aruba’s standing as a first class destination,” said Jorge Landa, General Manager, Holiday Inn Resort Aruba, in a statement. “All of us at the resort, together with our design and construction consultants, are busy putting the final touches on an absolutely amazing transformation that I’m proud to say will be completed on time ahead of the peak winter travel season.”

The 597-room property began renovations in September 2012, starting with the full remake of the 215-room Sea Tower.

The renovations also include an all-new spa and fitness centre and a new restaurant and dining options.

“Holiday Inn is a familiar and very well-trusted name in Aruba,” Landa said. “We’re building upon that great tradition with an all-new resort product tailored to meet the demands and high standards of today’s modern traveler. We look forward to hosting many future generations of leisure travelers seeking the vacation of a lifetime at a great value.”
