A delegation from Haiti visited with Organization of American States Secretary General Albert Ramdin on Monday in Washington.

Ramdin is the chair of the Group of Friends of Haiti.

The group included Jean-Max Chauvet of Le Nouvelliste, Haiti’s largest newspaper, Haiti-based consultant Lionel Delatour, Haiti Country Manager for Haiti Broilers.

The latter, a subsidiary of Jamaica-based poultry firm Jamaica Broilers, has invested $10 million in its Haiti operations of late.

The company was mentioned by Haiti President Michel Martelly at the CARICOM Summit in Port-au-Prince last week as an example of intra-Caribbean cooperation.
