St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas made the trip to Nigeria this week.

Douglas was joined by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elvis Newton and Press Secretary Erasmus Williams.

“The people of Nigeria and the people of St Kitts and Nevis and the Caribbean are one and the same.” he said. “We need to promote peace and harmony.”

Douglas’ visit was highlighted by a meeting with Senate President David MB Mark, who said he had previously traveled to St Kitts and Nevis on cruise ships.

“There is much we can learn from each other,” Douglas said, pointing to the number of Nigerian students attending medical and nursing schools in the twin-island federation.
