Panama President Ricardo Martinelli Concludes Trip to Vietnam

Panama President Ricardo Martinelli concluded his Asian tour this weekend, departing from Hanoi, Vietnam.

Martinelli called the trip “successful,” optimistic that the visit would create good results to Panama.

The trip to Vietnam included discussions on technical support in the area of rice, joint support in security, technology and medicine and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral consultation.

Martinelli, who invited the Vietnamese government to visit Panama and learn more about the country’s economy, said he also urged Vietnamese investment in Panama.

It was the first time a Panamanian leader had visited Vietnam.
