The appointment was made official by Tourism Minister Stephanie Villedrouin in a ceremony in Port-au-Prince.

Former Director General Daniel Fouchard was recently appointed as Haiti’s Ambassador to Germany. Fouchard  has pledged to continue promoting Haiti’s tourism sector despite leaving the Ministry.

Haiti has been pushing to recreate an image as an international travel destination, with a slew of new hotels in the development pipeline and a new tourism strategy.
