St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas concluded his official visit to India with a trip to the Taj Mahal this weekend.

Douglas, who called the visit a “hectic, but successful” trip, said it was an education in the “resourcefulness of a people in a country with vast resources and potential which, less than 20 years ago, was at the point of bankruptcy.”

Douglas, who was accompanied on the trip by High Commissioner in London Kevin Isaac and Beverly Knight, senior assistant secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister and the delegation were invited on a four hour “pilgrimage” from New Delhi to the landmark, which is located in Agra, India’s former capital.

Earlier, Douglas stumped for a group of Indian investors, looking to attract investment to the federation.
