Seabourn Plans July Relaunch in the Caribbean

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 17, 2021

Luxury cruise line Seabourn will relaunch its Caribbean cruises in July, the company said this week.

The company’s Seabourn Odyssey ship will kick off Caribbean cruising in Bridgetown, Barbados on July 18.

Seabourn is opening its Seabourn Odyssey voyages to any guests that are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Sailings will include a series of seven-day “Caribbean Yacht Odyssey” cruises; seven “Caribbean Yacht Gems” cruises and one 14-day Caribbean trip on Oct. 31.

The Caribbean Yacht Odyssey trip on July 18 includes stops in Saint Lucia, Antigua, St Kitts, Tortola and Grenada.

“We continue to assess the overall global situation so we can make thoughtful, logical decisions about when each of our ships will restart,” said Josh Leibowitz, president of Seabourn. “We know guests are beginning to restart travel on some level in their personal lives and we look forward to seeing them again as soon as possible, starting as early as this summer in Greece and the Southern Caribbean.”

In 2022, Seabourn will be operating 12 new sailings in the Caribbean and Panama Canal through May 2022, all on Seabourn Ovation.

Those cruises will launch reservations on July 8.

Cruising returned to the Caribbean earlier this month with the launch fo Celebrity Cruises’ sailings out of St Maarten.
