Marriott to Open New Puerto Rico Hotel in March

Marriott is opening its newest hotel in Puerto Rico in March, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The highly anticipated Aloft Ponce, set in Puerto Rico’s “second city,” Ponce, will open its doors on March 18, according to Marriott’s web site.

It will be the second Aloft-branded hotel in the Caribbean and the second in Puerto Rico, following last year’s debut of the Aloft San Juan.

The six-story property will feature a total of 143 rooms and nine suites, along with 5 meeting rooms and 5,041 square feet of total meeting space.

Amenities will include two restaurants and a bar, including a Hard Rock Cafe.

The property will also feature a grab-and-go cafe called Re:Fuel by Aloft.
