A New Boutique Hotel Is Coming to Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 3, 2020

Preferred Hotels is opening a new boutique hotel in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico next month, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The new Palacio Provincial in Puerto Rico’s charming historic capital is set to launch in January 2021, according to the company.

The 43-room property will be set in an historic diplomatic building in Old San Juan, with a courtyard restaurant and a rooftop pool deck with views across the San Juan bay.

It’s part of a broader opening push worldwide for Preferred Hotels and Resorts, which is the world’s largest independent hotel brand.

“The innate human desire to connect, share experiences, and travel will be stronger than ever in the new year, and we are thrilled to announce these new openings that serve as beacons of hope and inspiration for hoteliers and travelers alike,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO of Preferred. “The resilience of all hotels globally this past year has been truly remarkable, and we are invigorated by the promise of these new openings that signal a new year of new beginnings for the travel industry and encourage everyone to continue to Believe in Travel.”
