What’s New at Le Sereno in St Barth

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - October 29, 2019

St Barth’s iconic Le Sereno hotel has officially reopened for the season with a host of updates and upgrades to the luxury beach property.

The changes include the addition of four brand-new design-driven Suite Piscines, along with a new Michelin-starred culinary team.

The new culinary team will help the property’s flagship Restaurant Le Sereno, led by noted Chef Raffaele Lenzi, who will be joined by Chef Andrea Cimino and food and beverage director Stefano Gaiofatto, both of whom come to the property from Le Sereno’s sister property, Il Sereno Lago di Como in Lake Como.

That restaurant earned its first Michelin star within a year of opening.

The new menu will “redefine the Caribbean dining experience,” according to the property, with fresh, local ingredients crafted into contemporary Italian cuisine, from Spaghetti with fresh cucumber ceviche to traditional Italian fish soup.

Le Sereno is also adding a new retail boutique featuring Italian brands like Larusmiani and Via Monte Napoleone.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests back to the new Le Sereno as we launch exciting new additions and programming for the 2019/2020 season,” said Samy Ghachem, managing director of Sereno Hotels. “We look forward to providing our guests with world-class cuisine inspired by our sister property, Il Sereno Lago di Como, new design-driven accommodations for larger groups and of course, the relaxed and luxury service that they know and love.”
