Holland America Line is planning a big push to the Panama Canal this upcoming season.

The cruise line will run a total of 32 sailings to the Canal from September 2019 and May 2020, it announced this week.

That will include seven ships and a total of 16 unique itineraries, including both partial transits on 10- and 11-day voyages and full transits through the canal on 14 to 23-day itineraries.

The Panama Canal cruises will also include stops across the Mexican Riviera, Central America and the Caribbean, from Costa Rica’s Puerto Caldera to Oranjestad, Aruba.

“Transiting the Panama Canal deeply resonates with any explorer because of the sheer magnitude and power of the experience, and we offer travelers a variety of itinerary choices with a robust season across seven premium ships,” said Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line. “The sensation of being raised and lowered through the Canal’s legendary locks is inspiring, and whether our guests do it on a full transit from ocean to ocean or a partial through Gatún, it really is one of the world’s greatest modern wonders.”

Holland America will be operating the Panama Canal cruises on its Amsterdam, Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Oosterdam, Rotterdam and Volendam cruise ships.
