One of the Caribbean’s hottest hotel markets continues to surge, according to new data from analytics firm STR.
Curaçao’s hotel occupancy reached 80.3 percent in July, up 12.5 percent from the same period in 2017, according to the Curaçao Hotel and Tourism Association.
Average daily rates rose by 11.6 percent to $153.07 in July, while revenue per available room rose by 32.1 percent to $122.86.
STR’s data looked at 10 properties comprising a total of 1409 rooms on the Dutch Caribbean island.
The island’s hotel market continued to buck the Caribbean-wide trend, as regional occupancy declined by 1 percent in July.
